The Greater Greenspoint District is an 12-square-mile (31 km2) edge city in northern Harris County, Texas, United States. Portions of the district are in the City of Houston while portions are in unincorporated areas. The 2,000-acre (8.1 km2) edge city was a project of the Friendswood Development Company. Formed in 1991 by the Texas Legislature, the district, bordered by the Hardy Toll Road to the east, Airtex Boulevard to the north, Veterans Memorial Drive to the west, and West Road to the south, houses over 18,000,000 square feet (1,700,000 m2) of office and retail space. - source: Wikipedia
