Find monthly parking near Madison Valley

Madison Valley is a neighborhood in Seattle located east of Capitol Hill; west of Washington Park; south of Montlake; and north of Madrona. The valley is centered on the corner of E. Madison Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way E., its main thoroughfares (northeast- and southwest-bound and north- and southbound, respectively). Like most Seattle neighborhoods, Madison Valley has no officially defined borders. The neighborhood (or sometimes just the eastern part of it) is sometimes considered part of the Madison Park neighborhood; there is a sign on East Madison Street in the middle of Madison Valley saying you are entering Madison Park. The Madison Valley Merchants Association maintains a website at http://www.madisonvalley.org. Until recently Madison Valley was known for its French restaurants, and was sometimes referred to as Seattle's French Quarter. In early 2015 it was announced that City People's Garden Store, a long-time Madison Valley institution, was closing because the owners of the property were in the process of selling it to Velmeir, a developer based in Michigan, and did not renew the store's lease. The multi-use development proposed to replace City People's met with resistance due to several factors including: the eradication of mature trees and the lack of comparable replacements, the building's height, bulk, scale and massing being inappropriate for the location; and an exposed parking garage fronting a single-family zone. Concerned community members formed the non-profit Save Madison Valley to inform the community and examine the development's alignment with the City of Seattle's Design Guidelines. As of November 2016, the proposed development has gone through two Early Design Guidance meetings and has both times been sent back by the East Design Review Board for further modification. The next EDG meeting is currently scheduled for January 25th 2017. - source: Wikipedia
